About PCRT   Meet the Team

The PCRT is comprised of Member Investigators. The Member Investigators compose the Scientific Advisory Board which is charged with setting priorities on clinical studies, providing strategic counsel to pharma/biotech companies and design of clinical protocols. Member Investigators may also provide specialized expertise and services through their respective institutions, for example, DNA microarray analysis and SNP analysis.

The Pancreas Cancer Research Team (PCRT) convened for their First Annual Meeting at the ACSO Meeting in New Orleans, LA in 2003 (photo, right). It was a very productive meeting that allowed the members to discuss their progress of their studies face to face. The Team has monthly teleconferences throughout the year and a face to face meeting annually at the ASCO meeting.

Membership allows PCRT the potential for considerable flexibility in resource allocation, in the development of sophisticated clinical investigation techniques, and the rapid testing of promising new pancreatic cancer therapies in large patient populations.
